The Missouri Court of Appeals recently held that a family of a chronic alcoholic who was routinely allowed to drive a company vehicle stated a cause of action for wrongful death in the petition for damages. When the person entrusting the vehicle knew or should know of the alcohol use and drunk driving, the case can proceed to a jury. Hays v. Royer, WD 74772.
